Mother O' Mine

This was meant to be a mother's day gift, but I kinda messed it up; but she got something a whole lot better anyway! Good concept, execution needs work.

I wanted to insert the dried flower from my garden into the glass on one side and use the wavy foil around the edges on the other. The piece turned out great when I was done, all I had to do was clean off the flux residue. I used the flux remover & I ran it under the water to rinse the cleaner off ........the water went under a piece of foil and onto the photo under the glass and made the ink run. @#%!&#@! I'm glad no one was around, I was not a happy camper!

Anyway, I will remake this project, but have to remember to burnish my foil real good or wipe instead of rinse to remove the flux cleaner next time!

Hugs

This is a paper image in between two 1" x 1" pieces of glass and then soldered together using a solder iron. I have a million ideas of projects to create with these. I just have to get busy and make more!!!
Special thanks to Elle for modeling the necklace, she is such a DIVA!

I Saw Stars

This piece is made using nothing but syringe clay around a piece of Dichroic glass. Again I added Swarovski crystals! I really like this piece.

Victoria

This is a pendant with a CZ and a glass pearl. I used Liver of Sulphur to get the fabulous colors and polished the silver behind the pearl to bring back a little of the natural silver color.

Here is the back & the first project where I started adding hearts to my projects.

Lucky You!

This charm holder pendant was a very fun project! The wire opens and closes so you can add, change, remove charms and have a different look every time you wear it.

Here I added some Swarovski crystal charms to the holder to give it a little "Bling" factor!

Daisy Ring

My third project & my first ring. The clay shrinks a bit when you fire it, so making a ring a certain size can be challenging, this ring turned out about a half a size smaller than I intended.

It's a little hard to tell in the photo but the band is brushed and the flower is a high polish.

Rock 'n Roll

My second class was this bracelet. My idea was to make mini guitar picks and write the word ROCK on one side and ROLL on the other. Then I linked the picks together with Swarovski crystals and added a cool toggle.
I forgot to turn off the flash the first time I took the picture, but I thought it turned out kind of cool & you can see the lettering a little better than in the other photos.

Fleur de Clay???

Back in the beginning of January I read about this silver clay stuff online. I read about a clay that you can mold, texture & manipulate into what ever shape you want and when you fire it, it turns into .999 Fine Silver.

I just couldn't image, I'd gone to every bead shop in town asking about it; if they taught classes or knew anyone that did; in the very last store was an ad on the wall advertising classes. So I signed up, went to class and this is what I came home with! I thought it was amazing and I've been making clay jewelry every since.

It's a little hard to see but the triangle on the bail is actually a Trillion cut Ruby set into the clay before firing.
